How to Play Battleship
Objective
Sink all five enemy ships on a 10x10 grid before the AI opponent sinks yours. The game has two phases: first place your fleet of ships on your grid, then take turns firing shots at the enemy grid to locate and destroy their hidden fleet.
Keyboard Controls

Game Rules
- 1You command a fleet of 5 ships: Carrier (5 cells), Battleship (4 cells), Cruiser (3 cells), Submarine (3 cells), and Destroyer (2 cells)
- 2During placement, ships cannot overlap each other and must fit within the 10x10 grid
- 3Players alternate turns - click an unexplored cell on the enemy grid to fire a shot
- 4A hit is marked with an explosion icon and a miss is marked with a dot
- 5When all cells of a ship are hit, it is sunk and its cells turn dark red with fire icons
- 6The first player to sink all five of the opponent's ships wins the game
- 7The AI opponent uses a hunt-and-target strategy and fires in a checkerboard pattern
