How to play Memory Match

Flip two cards at a time to find matching pairs. Remember where each picture is and clear the whole board.

  1. 1

    Cards start face down

Every card is hidden and each picture appears on exactly two cards. Your job is to find both cards of every pair.

  2. 2

    Flip two cards

Tap one card to turn it over, then tap a second card. Look closely and try to remember what each card shows.

  3. 3

A match stays and you go again

If the two pictures are the same, the pair stays face up and you get another turn. Keep going while you keep matching.

  4. 4

    A miss flips them back

If the two pictures are different, both cards turn back over. Remember where they were so you can match them later.

  5. 5

    Clear every pair

Keep flipping and matching until all the cards are face up. Solo, beat your best moves and time. Versus, get the most pairs.

How you win

Match every pair to clear the board. Playing solo, do it in the fewest moves and fastest time. Playing a friend, the player with the most matched pairs wins.

Start by flipping cards you have not seen, then use what you remember to make sure matches.

Pick a bigger grid (6x6) for a harder memory test, or play a friend online where a match keeps your turn.

Game guide

How to play Concentration online

Memory Match, also called Concentration, is a card game where you flip cards two at a time to find matching pairs, remembering where each card is. All the cards start face down in a grid laid out in pairs. On your turn you flip two cards: if their pictures match they stay face up and you go again, and if they do not match they flip back face down, so the objective is to clear the whole board by finding every pair while remembering the cards you have already seen. On YaliKit you play Memory Match free in your browser on a 4x4, 6x4, or 6x6 grid, either solo against a move counter and timer that saves your best score, or turn-based against a friend online in a private room where you share the same shuffled board, a match keeps your turn, and whoever collects the most pairs wins. No download or signup is needed.

How to use the game

  1. 1

    Look at the game

The game is at the top of this page. You do not need to download anything. Just wait for it to load.

  2. 2

    Find the goal

Concentration is about trying to train focus, memory, timing, or accuracy. The score, board, timer, or message will show what is happening.

  3. 3

    Choose your controls

On a computer, use the keyboard. On a phone or tablet, tap or swipe. If a controller is connected, try the d-pad or buttons.

  4. 4

Make a move, see what happens, and keep going. You do not have to be perfect on the first try.

  5. 5

Try these challenges

Pick one small goal, play a round, then come back and try the next one.

First try

Play one full round of Concentration. Do not worry about winning; just learn what each button or move does.

Beat yourself

Play again and try to beat your last score, time, streak, or mistake count by a little bit.

Focus mode

Turn on fullscreen and play one quiet round. Bigger play space makes it easier to stay with the game.

Teach someone

Explain the goal of Concentration in one sentence. If you can teach it simply, you understand the game better.

Beginner tips

Read before acting

prioritize clean inputs over speed at first; speed improves naturally once the rhythm is stable

Use fullscreen for focus

Fullscreen mode gives Concentration more room on small screens and makes the game feel closer to a native app.

Practice one pattern

Choose one skill to improve each round: timing, accuracy, board planning, or mistake recovery. Focused practice beats random replaying.

Fun facts

Practice builds speed

Skill games often feel faster after practice because your eyes and hands learn the rhythm together.

Fast rounds help learning

Short Concentration rounds are useful because you can test one idea, see the result, and try again right away.

Your brain spots patterns

Games like Concentration help your brain notice patterns. After a few rounds, moves that felt confusing can start to feel natural.

Mistakes are clues

A mistake in Concentration is not just a loss. It is a clue that shows what to watch for next time.
