How to Play Sci-Fi Escape
Objective
Survive waves of alien creatures in a top-down sci-fi shooter. Eliminate all enemies in each wave to advance to the next level while keeping your health above zero.

Rules & Scoring
Game Rules
- 1Your character auto-aims toward the nearest enemy, so focus on positioning and firing
- 2Four enemy types appear: headcrabs (fast, small), zombies (slow), soldiers (medium speed), and vortigaunts (medium speed)
- 3Each bullet deals 15 damage; enemies have 25 + (level x 5) health, so tougher enemies require more shots
- 4Enemies that reach you deal 10 damage to your 100 HP health bar
- 5Clear all enemies in a wave to advance to the next level, which spawns more and tougher enemies
Scoring System
You earn 100 points for each enemy eliminated. Waves grow larger each level (3 + level count), and enemy health increases, so higher levels yield more points per wave.
Tips & Strategies
Beginner
- Keep moving at all times - standing still lets enemies surround you
- Focus on headcrabs first since they are the fastest and will reach you quickest
- Stay near the bottom of the screen so enemies have to cross the entire arena to reach you
- Tap Space rapidly rather than holding it, as each press fires one bullet
Advanced
- Kite enemies by moving perpendicular to their approach path while firing
- Prioritize high-speed enemies (headcrabs move at speed 2) over slower zombies (speed 0.8)
- Use the corners to funnel enemies into a single approach direction for easier targeting
- Keep track of enemy count - when only 1-2 remain, position yourself near center for the next spawn wave
- Learn the auto-aim behavior: your aim snaps to the nearest enemy, so position yourself so the nearest enemy is the one you want to kill
Pro
- Master circle-strafing to keep maximum distance from all enemies while continuously firing
- In later levels, enemies have over 50 HP requiring 4+ shots each - plan your ammo timing accordingly
- Aim for survival streaks past level 10 where enemy waves exceed 13 creatures at once
- Optimize your movement to never get cornered since enemies respawn at random positions after hitting you
