About Tunnel Digger
Tunnel Digger is a beloved 1982 arcade game created by Namco. You play as Taizo Hori, a character who digs underground tunnels and defeats enemies using either an air pump to inflate them until they pop, or by dropping rocks on their heads.
The game features two enemy types: Pookas (round red creatures with goggles) and Fygars (green dragons that can breathe fire). Both can turn into ghosts temporarily to pass through dirt and chase you.

How to Play Tunnel Digger

Use arrow keys or WASD to dig in any direction. Press Space to use your pump weapon. You can dig through dirt in any direction and move freely through tunnels you've created.
There are two ways: 1) Pump them with Space until they inflate and pop (requires 4 pumps), or 2) Dig underneath a rock to make it fall on enemies. Rocks give more points!
Pookas (red round creatures) are basic enemies worth 200 points. Fygars (green dragons) are worth 400 points and can breathe fire (though this version doesn't include fire breath).
Enemies can occasionally turn into ghosts (semi-transparent) and move through dirt to chase you. They'll return to normal after a short time. Watch out for ghosting enemies!
Pumping enemies: 200 (Pooka) or 400 (Fygar) + depth bonus. Dropping rocks on enemies: 1000 points. Digging: 10 points per tile. Level completion: 1000 points.
Enemies defeated at deeper levels (lower on the screen) give bonus points. The deeper you defeat an enemy, the more bonus points you receive.
