Why Use Audio Player?
Plays Local Files Without Uploading Them to a Server
Every audio file stays on your device. The player uses the Web Audio API built into your browser to decode and play audio locally. Nothing gets uploaded, nothing gets processed on a remote server, and nothing gets stored anywhere. Your files never leave your machine. This is fundamentally different from streaming services or cloud-based audio tools that require your data to travel across the internet.
Full Playlist Management Without an App
Add individual files or import an entire folder from your computer. The player builds a playlist you can search through, reorder by playing tracks in any sequence, and manage with simple controls. Most desktop music players require installation and eat system resources. This runs in a browser tab with zero footprint. Close the tab and it is gone. Open it again and add your files back in seconds.
Three Loop Modes for Different Listening Patterns
Loop off plays through the playlist once and stops. Loop all restarts from the beginning when the last track finishes, useful for background listening during work. Loop single repeats the current track indefinitely, which musicians and language learners use constantly to drill specific passages. These are the same three modes every professional media player offers because they cover every realistic playback scenario.
Live Frequency Visualization While You Listen
The player connects to the Web Audio API analyser node and renders a real-time frequency spectrum on a canvas element. Each bar represents a frequency band from low bass on the left to high treble on the right. The height of each bar shows the amplitude at that frequency right now. It is not just decoration. Musicians use spectrum visualizers to identify frequency problems in recordings, and casual listeners get visual feedback that the audio is actually playing and at what energy level.
When This Player Is the Fastest Option
Previewing Downloaded Music
When you download a batch of tracks and want to listen through them quickly without importing into a full music app, drop the folder here and hit play. No library scanning, no metadata fetching, no waiting. Just instant playback.
Reviewing Podcast Episodes or Recordings
Podcasters and voice-over artists often have multiple takes or episodes to review. Load them all into the playlist, skip between tracks with keyboard shortcuts, and use the seek bar to jump to specific sections. Faster than opening each file individually in a media player.
Language Learning with Audio Lessons
Use loop single mode to repeat a lesson or dialogue passage until you have it memorized. The seek bar lets you jump back to a specific phrase, and the keyboard shortcut for seek makes it quick to replay the last few seconds.
Background Listening While Working
Load a playlist of ambient tracks or lo-fi beats, turn on loop all and shuffle, then minimize the browser. The player keeps running in the background tab. No app installation, no account, no ads interrupting the flow.
Musicians Practicing Along with Tracks
Loop a specific song to practice along with it. Adjust the volume to match your instrument level. The frequency visualizer shows you the energy distribution in real time, which helps identify what frequency range your playing needs to sit in.
Previewing Audio for Presentations or Videos
When selecting background music or sound effects for a project, load all your candidates into the playlist and flip through them quickly. Much faster than opening each file in a separate player or editing software.
How It Works
Add Your Audio Files
Click Select Files to pick individual tracks, or Select Folder to load every audio file in a directory. You can also drag and drop files directly onto the player. Supports MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, AAC, FLAC, WebM, and OPUS.
Play and Control Your Music
Hit the play button or press Space to start. Use the progress bar to seek, the volume slider to adjust loudness, and the loop and shuffle buttons to control playback order. Click any track in the playlist to jump to it instantly.
Use Keyboard Shortcuts for Quick Control
Space for play/pause, arrow keys to seek or adjust volume, Shift+arrows for next/previous track, M to mute, L to cycle loop modes, S to toggle shuffle. All shortcuts work without needing to click anything first.
Get the Most Out of It
Use Keyboard Shortcuts for Speed
Space to play/pause, arrow keys to seek and adjust volume, Shift+arrows for next/previous. Once you learn these, you never need to reach for the mouse.
Import a Whole Folder at Once
Instead of selecting files one by one, use Select Folder to load everything from a directory. The player picks up all audio files and skips non-audio files automatically.
Loop Single for Practice or Study
Press L twice to get to single-track loop mode. The current track will repeat indefinitely until you change it. Perfect for learning lyrics, practicing instruments, or memorizing language lessons.
Use Arrow Keys for Precise Volume
Up and down arrows adjust volume in small increments. Much more precise than dragging the slider, especially when you need to set an exact background listening level.
