Frequently Asked Questions

The viewer supports PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, SVG, GIF (including animated), BMP, ICO, and TIFF. Any format your browser can render will work.
Use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in/out, pinch to zoom on touch devices, or drag the zoom slider. You can also double-click any part of the image to zoom into that specific area. The current zoom percentage is always displayed.
For JPEG images, we parse and display camera make/model, date taken, exposure time, aperture (f-stop), ISO speed, focal length, GPS coordinates, flash status, and image dimensions from the EXIF header.
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded to any server. They stay on your device at all times.
Yes. Load a second image using the compare button and a draggable split divider appears letting you slide between the two images. Great for before/after comparisons.
The checkerboard pattern indicates transparent areas in PNG and WebP images. You can toggle between checkerboard, white, black, and grey backgrounds to see transparency clearly.
Yes. When you click download, the current rotation, flip, and visible area are rendered to a canvas and exported as a PNG file. The downloaded image reflects exactly what you see.
Press + or = to zoom in, - to zoom out, R to rotate 90 degrees clockwise, F to flip horizontally, Space to fit the image to screen, 0 for actual size (100%), and Escape to reset all transformations.
Yes. Animated GIFs play their animation in the viewer. Note that rotation and flip transformations are applied via CSS so the animation continues to play smoothly.
There is no hard limit since everything runs in your browser. Very large images (50MP+) may be slower to render depending on your device. For best performance, images under 25MB work great.
