Kakuro (also known as Cross Sums) is a logic puzzle that originated in Japan. It combines the logic of Sudoku with the structure of a crossword puzzle, creating a unique and challenging brain exercise.
The objective is simple: fill in the white cells with digits 1-9 so that each consecutive run of cells (horizontal or vertical) adds up to the clue number shown. The catch? You cannot repeat any digit within a single run.
Kakuro puzzles require both logical deduction and knowledge of number combinations. As you practice, you'll learn the possible combinations for common sums, making you faster at solving these engaging puzzles.
Each clue cell shows the sum that the adjacent cells must total. Green numbers (bottom-left) are for horizontal runs; blue numbers (top-right) are for vertical runs.
Click a cell and enter a digit 1-9. The numbers in each run must add up to the clue and cannot repeat within that run.
