How to play Match 3

Swap two gems that are next to each other to line up 3 or more of the same kind. They pop and you score.

    Tap a gem, then tap a neighbour

    Tap one gem to pick it, then tap a gem right next to it. The two swap places. You can also drag one gem onto the one beside it.

    Line up 3 or more of a kind

    A swap only works if it makes a line of 3 or more matching gems, going across or down. Matching gems pop and disappear.

    Gems fall to fill the gaps

    When gems pop, the gems above slide down to fill the empty spaces, and brand new gems drop in from the top.

    Chain combos for big points

    Sometimes the falling gems make a new match all by themselves. That is a combo, and each chained match is worth even more points.

    Watch your moves

    You only get so many moves. A line of 4 or 5 gems scores more than a line of 3, so look for the biggest match you can make.

How you win

Reach the target score before you run out of moves to win. Bigger lines and combos help you get there faster.

A swap that does not make a match will not go - the gems just shake and swap back.

If there are no moves left, the board reshuffles so you can always keep playing.
