Tips for Best Results

Double-Check Page Numbers

Open your PDF in a viewer first to identify exactly which pages you want to delete. Page numbers are 1-based (first page is page 1).

Keep a Backup

Always save a copy of your original PDF before deleting pages. Deletion cannot be undone once you download the result.

Use Ranges for Efficiency

Instead of typing '3,4,5,6,7', use '3-7'. Combine ranges and single pages: '1,3-7,10' is cleaner than listing each page.

Odd/Even for Duplicates

If you accidentally scanned double-sided pages twice, use the odd or even preset to quickly remove duplicate pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use flexible formats: single pages (1,2,3), ranges (1-5), or combinations (1,3-5,7). All page numbers are 1-based, meaning page 1 is the first page. You can also use quick presets for common operations.
Yes! Use our quick presets to delete the first page, last page, or first 3 pages with one click. Or enter '1' to delete just the first page, or specify the last page number manually.
The remaining pages keep their content but are renumbered sequentially. For example, if you delete page 2 from a 5-page PDF, the new document has pages numbered 1-4 (originally 1,3,4,5).
Once you download the modified PDF, the deletion cannot be undone. We strongly recommend keeping a backup of your original file before deleting pages.
No. Our tool creates a new PDF with only the pages you want to keep, copying them at full original quality. All text, images, and formatting are perfectly preserved.
Currently, you need to identify blank pages manually and specify them for deletion. Open your PDF in a viewer first to identify blank page numbers.
Use our quick presets! Click 'Odd Pages' to delete pages 1,3,5,7... or 'Even Pages' to delete pages 2,4,6,8... This is useful for removing duplicate pages from double-sided scans.
Delete removes specified pages and keeps everything else. Extract keeps only specified pages and discards everything else. They're opposite operations for different needs.
You'll need to unlock the PDF first using our Unlock PDF tool. Once unlocked, you can delete pages and optionally re-protect the document afterward.
You can delete any number of pages, but you must keep at least one page in the resulting PDF. A completely empty PDF cannot be created.
Yes! Page deletion works identically on scanned PDFs and regular PDFs. Each page is either kept or removed regardless of whether it contains text or images.
Use dash notation: '3-7' deletes pages 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. You can combine ranges with single pages: '1,3-5,8' deletes pages 1, 3, 4, 5, and 8.
Yes. Your PDF is uploaded securely, processed on our servers, and automatically deleted after processing. We never store or access your document content.
